a uniquely tasmanian experience starts here
Tarkine Trout Trex's main aim is to share their true passion of the great outdoors, their love of fishing and Tasmania's incredible and unmatched fresh produce with you. We fully guarantee you will leave the day with a better understanding of Tasmania's West Coast uniqueness, and a new found appreciation and broader understanding of this beautiful sport and what it has to offer. Our goal is to make sure every trip is absolutely unforgettable, and we achieve this by not only guiding, but teaching and sharing a good laugh along the way.
We specialise in fresh water fishing both fly fishing and spin fishing for Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and native Blackfish, and our trips will take you to arguably some of the world's most beautiful and untouched rivers, rainforest and open waters. Every time you fish with us, it will be more than just a guided trip, it will be a lifetime experience.

LEAD GUIDE & DIRECTOR
Fishing began as my passion in 2012 when I landed a job in a technical outdoor and fishing shop. A keen interest in the sport soon turned in to a burning desire to learn more, to break the stereotype of women and fishing and soon enough, owning and running an outfitter became my destiny. I was born and raised on the North West of Tasmania, and my knowledge of the area and the beauty it has to offer far exceeds my competitors. I have been fortunate to spend the last 8 years working in the marine and fishing industry, and within that time have so passionately learned what it is people want to see and do in this incredible place. I have always wanted people to see the beauty in nature in which I do, and with many years spent outdoors chasing countless fish species I have so proudly tailor my guided trips to perfectly suit. |
